Establishing Professional Contacts and Expanding Resources!

Hello colleagues,
This has been a very stressful week for me. On Monday I began searching for two professionals in other countries for the assignment. I thought it was going to be an easy task. I was definitely wrong. I emailed several of the contacts, but was unable to reach any of them by Wednesday. I found out that a family member passed away on Tuesday and I was very upset, which took a toll on my searching. Today, I traveled to my hometown for the funeral, which is tomorrow morning, July 7. The frustration from not hearing back from any of the professionals I contacted and receiving the terrible news that my family member passed away, I decided to choose the alternate assignment. I think this took a little bit of my stress away. I was able to listen to a couple of the podcasts and was very pleased with the information. I am waiting to hear from the speakers I chose. I think I will still try to communicate with other professionals even though I chose the alternate assignment. I chose the following organization to learn more about and receive newsletters: Zero To Three: National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families.  I can't wait to learn more and share what I have learned with all of you! I look forward  to learning from you and your sources as well. Tip: Try to contact as many professionals as possible! Good luck!

  3. Hi Ashley,
I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the frustration about not hearing back from the chosen countries for correspondence. I have not had any reply's yet from the two which I have chosen either. I hope to hear soon as I would like to learn how other countries deal with educational trends and their affect the children. Another thing I would like to know is what do the parents do to deal with the challenged that new educational trends provide. I will keep you in my prayers as you cope with your loss. Take care and God Bless you.
