Relationships/Partnerships are important to me because they
contribute to our confidence, health, and social skills. We tend to feel and
seem more confident when we are surrounded by people who care about us and who
we care about. I have heard that when people are involved in healthy
relationships, they tend to be healthier and live longer lives. I think that
our social skills are improved when we are involved in healthy relationships. I
am very blessed to have so many positive relationships in my life. My most important
relationships are the ones I have with my family. I do not know what I would do
without them. They are my life!
Parents: They are the reason I am here and are responsible
for me being the way I am today. They inspire me to achieve great things! Great
role models!
Sisters: They are very special to me. We tell secrets and
give and seek advice. We fight at times, but in the end, we are always there
for each other no matter what!
Husband: He is my best friend. We make a great team and
always work together. He really brings out the best in me! I am so happy to
have him in my life.
Daughter: She is the reason I smile even when there is
nothing to smile about. I am so happy to be her mother. She makes me be the
best person I can be because I want to be the best role model for her.
All of these relationships have an impact on my work as an
effective early childhood professional because they all bring out the best in
me. They make me want to achieve great things and be a great role model. These
are qualities that I feel all teachers should have. We, as educators, should
want to be the best role models for the children we teach.

Hi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI agree that as educators we need to set a great example as far as relationships are concerned. I make it a point to talk about my family relationships with my students. Many of them come from homes in which relationships hold little if any value. They need to see that relationships can be a good thing, that they can work, and that people really do matter.
Your post was very interesting the photos of your family are very wonderful. I think that family always brings out the best in a person. Having a relationship with family is important to me. You always have that support and motivation to help accomplish your goals.
